In 1963 a wall collapsed near the Church of St. Pietro in Montorio and it was possible to discover some unusual ruins: 2nd-century old Roman lavatories. The walls were decorated with frescoes and red and green stripes with steinbocks and plants. The seats are not there anymore so they were probably made of wood, and a sewer was also found underground.
