Torre Guinigi – Anomalous holm oaks
Attached to the famous Palazzo Guinigi, the Guinigi Tower is famous for a peculiarity. The strangeness that distinguishes it is the presence on the top of two centuries-old holm-oak trees that can be seen from afar, almost as if they were green tufts. It seems that Paolo Guinigi filled all four of his towers with holm oaks, but the reason for this choice is still unknown today.
