“Vale & Tino” – Combination of dance and love

0
Inaugurated on Valentine's Day 2008, the extraordinary sculpture called Vale & Tino is by Pavia-based artist Marco Lodola. It is currently positioned in the garden of the famous monument in the Palazzina Azzurra. The sculpture, a sort of "light box", depicts a couple in love caught in the moment of a kiss. It measures just over three metres and is about twenty centimetres thick. The work is made of plexiglass with neon light inserts that give it a very special effect. Four small stone blocks are placed next to the base to avoid hitting the statue. The artist Marco Lodola has made it a fundamental part of his creative work to research the use of poor industrial materials, such as plexiglass and enamels, to achieve innovative experiences.
