"They Called Him Jeeg Robot" is a 2015 film directed and produced by Gabriele Mainetti, from the subject matter of Nicola Guaglianone and Menotti. The title of the film is an homage to the manga and anime series "Jeeg Robot of Steel" by Gō Nagai, from which the film takes up some themes, and constitutes an "inside joke" based on the fact that one of the main characters believes that Hiroshi Shiba, the hero of the series, exists in the real world and identifies him with Enzo Ceccotti, the protagonist. In reality, the council building where Enzo Ceccotti (Santamaria) lives is located at Via dell'Archeologia 71 in Rome.
