Via dell’Arco della Ciambella – The Virgin of Santo Rosario
In a small niche in Via dell'Arco della Ciambella there is a 19th century old painting. It is the copy of the Virgin of Santo Rosario, a famous painting of the Madonna that, under the French, miraculously moved her eyes for around 3 weeks. The painting was property of Family Capparucci who, despite the fact that they commissioned the niche to let the people pray under the image, took it home every night and, at the end, brought it with them when they moved away, leaving the population very upset.
