Walking down the alley known as Via Lascaris you won't fail to notice the curious, sinister "eyes" opening at the base of the street's corner building, the ancient site of a Masonic lodge. The openings actually give light and air to the building's subterranean spaces, where the Lodge held its secret reunions.
