Via Monte Cusna is a very quiet street that was once called Via delle Asiniere (Donkey Street) because it had a rather curious function: in the Middle Ages, the donkeys of those who came from the mountains to do errands in the city were literally parked here. Approximately halfway down the street there is evidence of these past times: a ring that was used to tie up the donkeys.
